Events, Marketing and Sales Manager

Multi-skilled Process Self-Driven & Creative Individual with excellent people and organisational skills

About Us

LOOK.Sharp is now in its fifth year and has become Porto’s go-to international event space. We’re all about creating friendly, open, and engaging events that bring people together — from creative meetups to social nights and entertainment. We’ve even seen some of our ideas pop up elsewhere in the city (imitation is the sincerest form of flattery) and we aim to bring more original concepts.

We’re now building a dedicated Events, Marketing & Sales department — and we’re looking for the right person to lead it.

Who you are

You’re super organised, self-motivated, a multitasker, an eye for detail & design, financially savvy and full of initiative. You like variety in your work and take ownership of what you do, following instruction where applicable. You are confident to engage with people, host events where necessary and lead others to meet your vision or expectations for an events outcome. You’re creative, adaptable, very computer proficient, eloquent in English and not afraid to get stuck in when things get busy. You’re also someone who enjoys seeing the direct results of your efforts — including in your paycheck.

What you’ll be doing

  • Planning (logistically, aesthetically & economically) and coordinating events 2–3 months in advance

  • Creating simple, engaging, well-designed marketing content for Social Media, WhatsApp, and our squarespace website

  • Managing event setups, clearly briefing the team, and making sure everything runs smoothly on the day

  • Handling ticket sales, cafe and event reservations, and event tracking in our website and in-store with reasonably complex spreadsheets

  • Coordinating heavily for feasibility and approval with the owner.

  • Coordinating early and in detail with café kitchen and managing team to work out effective revenue in the space with menu product sales associated with events and operational logistics

  • Coming up with new event concepts and building out the details — operationally, aesthetically and financially

  • Ultimately growing retail sales (online and in-store) as part of expanding the product sales department

You’ll also spend time working with online marketing, simple graphic tools like Canva, and Google Sheets to track results and revenue.

What we’re offering

This is a performance-based role where your results directly influence your rewards.

  • A basic minimum wage as an external consultant during a trial period to determine skillset fit for the role, with minimum wage contractual option if successful

  • PLUS Commission on all paid event tickets (online and in-store)

  • PLUS Bonus payments when café revenue targets are met through your events

  • PLUS Commission on physical product sales through our website

  • PLUS Service tips at the discretion of café managers for well-organised, successful events that meet coordination & revenue expectations

Over time, as your department grows and shows consistent results, you’ll be able to bring in or outsource specialist roles like SEO, content creation, sales and social media management as consultants or employees under your supervision.

Why this role matters

If you prefer a predictable, routine job, this might not be for you. But if you’re multi-skilled, entrepreneurial, and love the idea of shaping something new within a brand that’s already established and growing — this could be exactly what you’re looking for.
